Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before entering any raffle operated by The Icelandic Travel Raffle. By purchasing a ticket or entering a draw, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
The Icelandic Travel Raffle ("we", "us", "our") operates prize raffles offering curated travel experiences to Iceland. Our contact email is support@icelandictravelraffle.com.
2. Eligibility
To enter a raffle you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry
- Be a legal resident of a country where participation in paid raffles or prize draws is permitted under local law
- Not be an employee, director, officer, or immediate family member of The Icelandic Travel Raffle or its partners
It is your responsibility to ensure that entering a raffle is lawful in your jurisdiction. We accept no liability for entries made where prohibited by law.
3. How to Enter
Entry into each raffle requires the purchase of a ticket at the price stated at the time of the draw. Each ticket purchased constitutes one independent entry. There is no limit to the number of tickets one individual may purchase unless stated otherwise for a specific draw.
Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable once purchased, except in the event that a draw is cancelled by us.
4. The Draw
Each draw will take place on the closing date advertised for that raffle if minimum participation of 5,000 tickets sold is reached. The winner will be selected at random through a third-party raffle site in a live, transparent draw. The draw is final and binding. Results will be published on Instagram site @the_icelandic_travel_raffle (make sure to follow us) and the winner will be contacted directly through the third party platform hosting the raffle using the details provided at the time of entry.
We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant prior to awarding a prize. Failure to provide satisfactory proof of eligibility may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.
5. The Prize
Unless stated otherwise, each prize consists of:
- Two economy class return flights to Reykjavík Keflavík International Airport from the winner's nearest major international hub
- Seven nights' accommodation at a hotel selected in cooperation between the winners and The Icelandic Travel Raffle based on travel plans
- One compact 4×4 rental car for the duration of the stay, gasoline used and other fees incurred are not part of the prize
- Three pre-approved activities chosen by the winner from our published activity catalogue
The prize has no cash alternative and is non-transferable except at our sole discretion. The prize must be used within 18 months of the draw date. We will work with the winner to agree suitable travel dates subject to availability.
The following are not included in the prize:
- Travel insurance (strongly recommended and the winner's responsibility)
- Visa or entry fees
- Personal spending, meals, and incidentals not specified above
- Any taxes or duties applicable in the winner's jurisdiction
6. Winner Notification
The winner will be notified by email immediately after the draw by our third party platform and again within 5 business days of the draw. If the winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to forfeit the prize and select an alternative winner.
7. Publicity
By entering the raffle, you agree that we may use your first name and country of residence for promotional purposes in connection with the draw result. We will not publish your full name, contact details, or any other personal information without your explicit consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Icelandic Travel Raffle shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant or winner in connection with their participation in a raffle or use of the prize. This includes but is not limited to travel delays, cancellations, or circumstances beyond our control.
9. Changes and Cancellation
We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or cancel any raffle at any time. In the event of cancellation, all ticket holders will receive a refund. We are not liable for any losses arising from such a cancellation beyond the refund.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
